Did anyone watch 60 Minutes last night. Pretty interesting interviews across the board. I could probably start a thread on each of them.
What did you think of the Clemons interview? I want to believe him. . . but I really don't. I think the main reason is. . . what does this trainer have to gain by lying? Sure, I know there's publicity and all that. . . But he was apparently somewhat close to Clemons (called him two days before the Mitchell report came out to borrow fishing equipment, I think?).

I think you all know, or at least suspect, that I am a fan of the N. Y. Yankees. I am a proud Yankees fan, and despite the fact that I live in a town that despises the Yankees with all their might, I have never been more loyal to my team as I am now. Hell, I even have Yankee pariphinelia in my cube at work (a Jeter mug, Hideki Matsui bobblehead, a Yankee license plate, etc. etc.). The Bronx Bombers will be a part of me, no matter how long I stay in this town.
HOWEVER, I lost all respect for Roger Clemens. At least Andy Pettite had the nerve to speak up and admit his wrongdoings. Clemens has not only used steroids...it's very obvious, but he has continued to dig a hole for himself by continuing to lie. I think the trainer is telling the truth, and as TD said, I see no reason to why he might try to fabricate a story. I watched the Wallace interview yesterday, and I just couldn't believe his story...and from his words, it didn't really seem that he felt using steroids justified a punishment from Major League Baseball. Plus, I was very perturbed by the polygraph question.
Once again, I have pride in my Yankees...I bleed pinstripes even here in SOX country. But I can't help but feel a little let down by Clemens, and I really hope that I never see him in a Yankees uniform again. If he gets to the hall of fame, let him wear a Boston cap for all I care.

I have no use for baseball players who use steroids. None. Cheaters make me sick.

There's actually plenty of reason for the trainer to lie. Its called jail. Ask the BALCO guy. They kept him in jail simply b/c he didnt implicate Bonds. Do you think they wouldnt do that to this guy?
Its always funny to me when I hear people who know literally nothing about weight training or how steroids works try to talk about it as though they do. The fact of the matter is that you DONT know if Clemens did steroids or not and its NOT anywhere near obvious.
