Rage

I know this has happened to others, so I'm wondering about other people's experiences. I started working a year ago in a smaller regional office of a larger company. I took the job because I had just moved from overseas and was looking to get out of living with my sister-in-law (who my family had been living with for 2 months). At the time, the job sounded fairly interesting. I knew I was in for some boring moments, but there seemed to be interesting client engagements and the role was one I found somewhat stimulating in a field of work that I otherwise wouldn't have been interested in (software development). Over the course of the year, I found that certain qualities described haven't panned out as initially promised, and now - a coworker who has been here longer complained that he wanted a different role with more client interaction. As a result, they moved me off of client facetime things and I'm doing software testing more and more (this other guy's old job). The management says that they're moving me to testing so I can become more familiar with the application, but I see it as a role reversal. The last few big client meetings, I've been responsible for alot of the bitchwork prep stuff but don't get to go because this other guy is. On top of that, they are going to be discussing a topic that me and a 3rd guy have been working on for months and neither of us are going. I can't wait to get out of here. What's it been like for you when you were baited and switched?
