Dear Recruiter/Hiring Manager,

I know how good employees can be hard to come by. All the best bright and bubbly ones seem to get snapped up so quickly.

However, I may have a solution to this problem for you. There is an untapped market out there - introverts.

"Introverts? But they serve no useful purpose in society! An extrovert with only half a brain cell would be much better suited to this difficult and challenging role!", I hear you say.

Have a read over the information below; you may just learn something.

Just because a person is reserved and quiet, it does not mean that:

- they are stupid (hey, we're not the ones trying to fill an entire office with bubbly, talkative people and not worrying that it will throw the dynamics of the workplace totally out of whack!)
- they don't enjoy the company of loud people (you've got a problem with us, we don't have a problem with you. If we controlled the world, we might consider hiring you if you had some manners and didn't speak out of turn)
- they are too scared to talk to anyone (it's just that sometimes we can't be bothered, the inane conversations of the extroverts gets a bit much every now and then)
- they are boring (if you'd just shut up for a second, you might realise that you're not that fascinating yourself!)
- they are too quiet to achieve anything (Famous introverts - Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Warren Buffet, Michael Jordan, Steven Spielberg. Famous extroverts - Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears... do you get my drift?)
- they are insecure (just because we are able to cope for more than five minutes without being the centre of attention, doesn't mean we have no self-confidence. I refer to my earlier point - Famous extroverts - Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears.... bastions of self-respect and dignity, the lot of them! :eek: )

If you managed to get through all of this without losing concentration and yelling out some worthless comment to the rest of the office, it may hopefully have made some sense to you, and you might give one of us a call,

Yours sincerely,

The introverts of the world

:)

Some words to tribute introverts might include; :)
* Witty
* Sensitive
* Caring
* Intelligent
* Rarely leaps before they look
* Thinking b4 saying anything
* Forgiving
* Perfectionist tendencies
* Long suffering
* Patient
* Sensible
* Head screwed on
* Cautious
* Perceptive
* Good sounding board
* Many facets to introverts - layers upon layers - abit like an onion really. It doesn't appear that way initially though.

Of course, it depends what kind of introvert one is! :rolleyes:

There's a saying that goes; "IT'S THE QUIET ONE'S YOU GOTTA WATCH!" LOL hehehehheakakakak! It's great when employers don't bother adhering to this! They're to busy watching the loud ones. LOL! :p That's ok, I prefer it that way!

Some of us are mixes though...like introvert/extrovert or extrovert/introvert. Can't fully box people I guess.

even and intorvert should be able to say something about themselves.

About having our heads screwed on? Hmmm...coming to think of it, some introverts don't! :rolleyes:

Then again, whenever I see a job ad saying: "Bubbly, bright outgoing person required" I steer clear.

Heheheheheh! Akakakakak!

By the way, any extroverts out there: please don't take offence, it was meant to be tongue in cheek!
