When it comes to different facets/areas of your life which would you say you practice the greatest level of discipline? Why so?

Gym because I can see benefits really quicklt.
Practicing guitar because I find it to be fun and relaxing.

My work. I teach disabled kids. If you're not going to give that your all, there's something seriously wrong with the picture. There's no room for half-assing it.

Spending money. I bet I'd give everyone here a run for being the biggest tightwad on the board.

Till I got laid off (and given the industry I was in), I'd say I was most disciplined about "work-life balance". Granted that's become a dirty word in the current economy but I was pretty disciplined and dedicated to it.
I didn't mind staying in late but the moment I was out that door, be it 5 PM or 11 PM I did not want to get any phone calls telling me to hustle over to my computer and take a look. I once stayed in till 3 AM on a Friday night because I wanted to finish the task at hand rather than come in on a Saturday (effectively ruining my Saturday) or have it on my mind all weekend ruining my weekend.

Gym, also because I see results and quick.
It's one of those things that you can feel like you are getting ahead with. I love it.

Helping my friends when they're in trouble.
I eat too much, drink too much, smoke too much, and take no pride in my current job. But if a friend needs a favour, I'm there.

I'd say getting 8 hours of sleep a night and getting regular exercise.

I don't drink at all, even if I feel social pressure when I'm out with coworkers.

Most things such as working out, cleaning, being quiet because my dad was a 'strict disiplinarian' and I got smacked for most things even if they were minor!

I'd take you up on that challenge. My frugality is legendary.

I'm disciplined with my daily routine and being on time for stuff. I used to have tons of trouble getting up in the AM which made me feel like I was running late all day, but having a kid has kind of changed that. I don't even use an alarm clock anymore - she wakes me up at the same time every day and we just get going on our routine. I thought it would be boring to have such a rigid routine, but it's actually soothing for me, I'm generally a much more relaxed AND productive person than I used to be, and I am almost always early rather than running late these days. We have enough different "outings" on different days of the week so it's not like we're just doing the exact same thing day in and day out.

I'm so jealous of people who are on a routine. I KEEP trying to make one, and everyday something comes up to throw me off. I wish I could be disciplined about SOMETHING. No fear is enough to get me on track with anything (the boss asking me to be here on time, the dr. yelling at me about my weight [getting on track w/ diet/exercise], etc).
I guess I can say I'm most disciplined with NOT being disciplined, lol.

This thread has led me to the sad conclusion that I'm not very disciplined about anything. :0
