Yay, 2 more hours until my weekend begins! Anyone doing anything fun or have exciting plans? Why is it that Friday afternoon's always go the slowest? Is it because I am just not motivated or because the weekend is so close?

Hey Kit, I think you asked before about things to do in Santa Barbara...sorry I didn't get back to you. There are lots of clubs and stuff on State Street...it depends on what type of scene you are into.
Santa Barbara is great, but there isn't A LOT to do. I would definitely suggest going to the beach if it is sunny and I could recommend a beach to you, if you like the beach that is.
Um...are you coming with friends or coming to visit friends?
Anyways, if you want any more suggestions, let me know.

Today is my birthday and my family is bringing food over for a dinner with all of us and my boyfriend...then cake and all that stuff. Tomorrow and Sunday probably errands, cleaning, laundry, doing some work projects, etc. etc. Sunday night headed to a friend's house to watch the new Fleetwood Mac documentary on VH1 (we're huge dorky fans, lol).

thanks sky... i am coming up with a girlfriend of mine. neither of us have been there before, so we are clueless as to what to do. i'd love a beach picnic w/ some wine from the region if you have any ideas for good spot! not sure if it is going to be warm enough to lay out or anything. in the evenings we are probably going to want to hit up some bars, anything come to mind in particular on state st? somewhere where the people are friendly and the atmosphere is lively?

Tonight I think I am going to try Donato's Low Carb pizza....since my boyfriend is on the low-carb kick. Tomorrow my friend is directing his middle school musical and I am going to see it. Sunday is my lazy day for doing nothing....I wish the weekend was longer :(

Anyway....she is going because she has a 2 week spring break from her private HS.....she just had 3 weeks off for Xmas.....

And she complains about having to work bla bla bla. But she has to be there for 8am, has her lunch GIVEN to her by the school and she is done teaching at 330...and has 10 weeks that are actually full 5 day weeks....bla bla bla.

Don't worry, I went to DC this week and that was my first time flying completely alone. The first time I flew without any "adults" was last summer when my ex-friends and I went somewhere.

Ewww, 2 week spring break. Most COLLEGES don't even give you that! My neighbor teaches at a private school and gets all this time off. Yale gives us lots of time off between Xmas and New Years, but having their spring break off would have been cool too!

First time I flew by myself I was 19 and had to switch planes to boot. I swear I think my family all though I'd end up lost in an airport somewhere! LOL. But they're like that...

I find that when I fly, or go anywhere by myself I"m more willing to talk to other ppl...:p . And it's an excellent learning experience.

Edit: whoops, as for weekend. Tonight against my better judgement allowing sis to drag me out shopping, which can be dangerous, and who knows after that.
Saturday meet up w/ cousin to plan out our road trip to NC next month, and possibly out to some bar/club Sat. night... Sunday visit the g-ma and obligatory dinner w/ dad to hear what i'm doing wrong w/ my life.

Tank--first of all, I was just suggesting something as a general idea...don't take everything so literal. Secondly, unless a BF is super-rich, these things take planning and money from both people. Thirdly, how are things going w/ you and your BF? Did you guys talk?

Kit...lets see...well there's club 634 (which is located at 634 State St., hmm creative) which is basically cheesy dance music and its kind of repetitive (they played "Toxic" by Britney Spears 3 times the last time I went) but if you like to dance they have a pretty big dance floor.
There's Q's which is a bit classier, you kind of have to dress nicer, but sometimes they don't care. They have 3 floors and the top floor has pool tables. The dance floor is pretty small though.
There's Madison's which for some reason is always crowded, but if you want to be around a lot of people its cool. I prefer the music here over 634.
There's Sharkeez which basically serves cheap drinks, but I heard they water them down. They recently remodeled, and they have a cool fish tank behind the bar.
There's the Wildcat Lounge, which is kind of cool, the atmosphere (they have a really cool ceiling), except they have girls dancing in cages.
There's lots of other bars/clubs, but those are the ones that I frequent most, even though I usually don't go much anymore.

As for the beach, I usually go to the ones in Goleta, but there's Ledbetter Beach in Santa Barbara thats pretty good. My favorite beach is the one by the Bacara Resort in Goleta, I went swimming there on Monday since it was so hot.

I went wine tasting once in Santa Barbara, we went to the Firestone winery, it was really nice and I enjoyed it, I remember it being a bit of a drive from dowtown Santa Barbara, but definitely worth it.

I hope you have lots of fun, let me know how it goes!

Well we never got to talk because he found a note that I wrote to a male friend when I was angry and he accused me of cheating.
Basic run down...I was hanging out with an older male friend and didnt say anything to my BF because I didnt want to piss him off, in the past he has been angry for my having dinner with a male friend....
Now my BF knew I was friends with this guy but didnt know sometimes we went out for a drink. Then my older male friend one night planted a 7th grade lips only kiss on me.....and I never said anything to my BF, and also never talked about it with my friend because it was obvious he thought it was a mistake and why humiliate the guy anymore than he already was?

So my BF finds this note when he was GOING through my stuff looking for something because he had a hunch. I had run out to do an errand.

So now Im in the dog house for having a friend and not telling him EVER detail in my life.

So bringing up the bad weekend was out of the question.....and now I constantly have to answer to who I talk to what Im doing and where Im going.
Oh fun.

Ummm....Tank, Just wondering...You seem to have nothing but negative things to say about this guy. Why are you still with him?

Please don't waste time if you're miserable. Take it from someone who's been there and done that. You're wasting your youth as well as his. Life is out there. Go make an attempt at being happy.

Whooo spring break for me!! Not that I'm doing anything fabulously exciting. Flying home to hang with friends and family and head up to Chicago for job interviews. Hopefully somebody will offer me tons of money!

I have yet to fly with somebody... I've always flown alone! Not fun when there are delays and I got stuck in Dallas for 5 hours! Flying back to TX after Thanksgiving I got stranded in Minneapolis/St. Paul overnight. I made a new friend though, and we went to the bars at the Mall of America. Heard from her today! :) Funny how you get to know people sometimes!
