Hey guys, I'd like to know what is the quickest way to earn a bacehlor degree..do you guys know of any shortcuts or how i can finish college in less than 4 years. You see I just moved to the US and i have to wait 12 months before i can apply because that is the only way the low fees rate would apply to me..but I am 22 and by the time i apply I'll be starting college at 23 and that is old right to start college in the US? Everybody might probably be younger than me anyway since college takes 4 years here by the time i graduate I'll be about 27 years old! So if you guys know anyway that i may be able to get a degree that would take less time please tell me. How can i reduce the 4 years of college, is there a way? Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Thanks.

One of the fastest ways to complete college is to go full time year round. Not only should you take a full course load in the fall and spring, but also in the summer as well. During my undergrad, my school offered 8 week long classes that met everyday instead of just two - three times a week. With 8 week classes, you can take an additional course in a semester. Hope this helps.

there are also classes you can test out of like english or math. if you earn a certain score on a proficiency exam they'll just waive the requirement. just ask your advisor about it and they'll help you. also if your school offers winter intersession do it. you can take up to 3 classes in 3 weeks. it's very intense and i don't reccommend working while doing this because it's a lot of reading in such a short time.

Also, don't put too much emphasis on age. Sure I started college at 18, but there was always a 30 yr. old, a 40 yr. old and seomtimes a 50 yr old taking the same classes. My sister just started last year at 39.
If you can graduate in less than 4 years, more power to you, but don't be too disappointed if it doesn't happen that way. Things do come up like clases being cancelled, or too full, remedial classes, non-credits that you need etc.
I only know one person that did it under 4 years. Everybody esle was 4 plus.

Or go to school for ONE full year, then get a job that pays for school---then your getting your tuition taken care of while working and gaining experience, so it wont be so bad that you're 27 when you get your degree.

I'm attending DeVry University, which will allow me to finish a 4 year degree in three years. There are some catches: you go to school year-around, the curriculum is a combination of online and campus based courses, and it requires a lot of independent learning. If you are a disciplined person, then it might work for you. But if not, you're better off going to a traditional univ where it'll take you the full 4 years or more to graduate.

you can get an associate degree, this only takes 2 yrs. it is not as prestigious as a bachelor's degree, but its faster. but age really isnt important, i went to collegee forr a bachelors degree and finshed at 22 and am going to go to school agan to be a nurse, and i will be 25 or 26 by the time graduate! i would recommend only doing assoc degree if you know what you want as a career and have no doubts, otherwise a bachelors degree would be better to explore more options.
