I last posted in May and am happy to see others finally have come here too! I'm 23 and in my first year of teaching. I don't have much free time, but I'd be up for trying something...I live in Bloomington.

Hey all, I have a master's in counseling, and would be interested in starting this group up. I live in the Bloomington/Richfield area, but would try to find a central location for everyone. If anyone has suggestions for a meeting place, i could get the ball rolling.

I'll definately start checking at MOA, but I was thinking of something like a community center. We'd probably have to pay for a room at MOA, unless we go to a restaurant or bar (which I'm all for). I'll start checking around this week and post something later. Is there a night that works well for most people? I'm thinking Tuesday or Wed.

I'd be interested in meeting up with others. Mall of America sounds like a good spot.

Well, I've checked around, and we'd have to pay for pretty much anything. I say we just pick a restaurant at the MOA and meet there. Any suggestions?

Lets not goto MOA for a meeting. The drinks are too expensive and we won't be able to hear eachother talk. My suggestion would be a chill coffeehouse somplace downtown. I work downtown and I don't have a car, so the MOA is also impossible for me in addition to being too loud.

I would be interested in meeting for a support group? I live in Burnsville, so the MOA would work for me.. What would be a good date and time for everyone?

I know this might not be your style, superkiddo, but how about the Barnes & Noble Starbucks in MOA? We can nick two birds with one stone that way. I usually just get an italian soda for $1.40 when I go there.

Besides, there are buses going to MOA all the time.
Let us know.

I am really interested in starting something, has anything taken off yet?? I would be really interested in joining if it has, but if not lets get something started!!! Anyone else interested, I just moved here to the Mendota Heights area so I don't really know where would be a good meeting spot so suggestions are welcomed. MOA would be great! Any night works good for me after 7pm.

Hello everyone,

If you do have a group going I would like to know more about it. I am hoping to get involved in some sort of group when I move to the cities hopefully in September.

If you have started, I hope things are going well.

I have been following your conversation, and would really like to be a part of your group (if one has been formed--or would like to help get one going) and it sounds as though finding a place to meet has been difficult. I have a couple of suggestions:
1. I work at a church downtown (right by the Metrodome) and we have been allowing community groups to use different meeting spaces. I could see if we could meet in one of our rooms there...we would be able to talk and hear one another, and it is very centrally located. I could probably also arrange for refreshments.
or
2. There is a great Dunn Brothers on 8th street and 11th Avenue (just east of downtown--again Metrodome neighborhood) that has a great side room where we could kind of meet.

I don't know...I just think location-wise these would be good.
