I have been there and am about to go there again. My director was just offered his retirement pacakage.. and well I am on a project which is going to end in july.. I just moved to a new place where the rent is high..
As long as your family and friends are there to support you you will be fine. I had to borrow money from my parents because I had bills to pay and things.. just keep looking.. you will find something, my neighbor was out of work almost 8 months he just finally found something.. it will all work out..

I just got out of the military where I had a job that I was relied on but, collectively as a whole was not for me.
So I've been home for almost two months now and I have been reluctant to find a job because I am involved in a long distance love affair. I've been spending time with him off and on the only positive thing in my life hoping that he would ask me to move in.
Now the money's run out. Time to move on even though it doesn't feel right to be where I am right now and not know what comes next.
The one thing you learn in life early on if you can is that your the only one that can make yourself happy and you can only depend on you. Everyone else is either busy with their lives or busy screwing them up and don't have time for you. It doesn't mean they don't love you or care they just have the same problems you do. Thanks for your response.

Audrey-
I am so there. I was in the long distance thing as well. And I don't have a job.
My best piece of advice is don't wait for the long distance thing to work out. Mine has, but by waiting and clinging to him (not saying you are, but I did) it starts to take a huge toll on the relationship. Find a job, at least to pay the bills. Find something that makes you happy, even if it is volunteering. Getting a better sense of your self only improves the relationship.
