Private Messages Quota

I'm sure someone has asked this already. Unfortunately I couldn't find the thread for it. But my question is, what is the number for the private messages quota? Is it a number of messages or is it number of characters or amount of space? I was just curious. If some one knows, could they please put the answer out here.

I think it goes by characters used, but i could be wrong. That's a question for the moderators...

I also just realized recently that the PM system saves all your outgoing messages as well as what's in your inbox...

Coll is correct. Each individual private message has a limit of 1,000 characters, which includes the spaces. This means you cannot send a longer private message than one with 1,000 characters.

mgp2 - I do understand that but I think my question is more in reference to our "personal" inboxes. I guess my question is: what exactly triggers the "Inbox full" email to be sent our email accounts? Thanks again.

I do not have an exact number I could tell you, but I would suggest deleting the messages in your inbox after about 15. I'm quite sure it holds more than 15.
