good job, now how do I get it?

I found an Ideal position, making about what I make now but more related to my career goals ( I'm admin now :( ) I am a college grad but my only work experience is admin. The job is a trainee position in my field so that would be perfect.

So I faxed an application and my resume yesterday, the method they stated they prefered. but I didn't call. Is is too late to call now? should I be obedient and just wait? The ad said they were accepting applications until the 23rd, should I wait until after the 23rd and call? showing up in person is not really feasible. I'm trying to relocate so it's out of town.

If you really thought this was THE job, what would you do???

Call them up on the pretense that you are not sure whther they received the fax or not. Say that you think your fax machine is not working properly. If you are in luck, you might get to talk with someone who is doing the hiring. OTH, if it's a big company, you may get just a receptionist or something
