I know it's a little early to be planning a party for Oct - but I have to "book it" with my friends early so they come!

Im throwing a party with some of my friends - and I need your thoughts - I plan on having it in Oct - I want to have a theme party - any suggestions...I don't want to have a simple Halloween party - I want to do something unique - Like two years ago - we had a two degrees of John Travolta - where you had to dress like a character from a JOhn Travolta's movie - (I was Mia from Pulp Fiction) - Any ideas would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friends are in the range of 24-30 if that helps and I live in an apt...

my friend rick is having a hawaiian party this sat. he has one every yr. i have my grass skirt all ready.

you could have christmas in july too. that is fun! everyone gives out gifts and decorates for christmas and sings carols!

What about something like a round the world party, everyone comes dressed representing their favorite country....and brings a beverage of choice from that country ;)

I am going to an 80s party this weekend. It should be fun but I am still looking for a pair of shorts. I have the "I Love Garfield" t-shirt, tube socks, old school Sauconys and the wrist bands and headbands. Just need the "johnny nuthugger" shorts.

I have thought about having like some type of sports theme party maybe with people where some type of sports jersey. Nothing too crazy but could be something different.

You could also have a different "around the world" party like the ones back in college. You could have a different drink in every room. I remember doing margarita shots in one room, jagermeister in one room, iceblock shots in another, etc. It could get messy though. I guess that's why we did it back in college.

How about a red yellow green party...
Each person has to wear one of those colors.....
RED if they are taken
Yellow if they are just kinda seeing someone
Green if they are totally single and looking.

Had several of these over the years and they tend to get really funny after a few drinks.

a mardi gras party is always fun too. you dont have to have it in feb/march either. its cool if you have a deck and you can throw beads off of your deck to girls below!

why don't you have a toga party? i've always wanted to go to one.

i once went to a shotgun wedding party in college. it was "white trash" themed so everyone dressed accordingly. we listened to classic rock and drank cheap beer. in addition there was the shotgun wedding game where you have to take a shot to get married and 2 shots to get divorced. (bear with me explaining because its a bit fuzzy) anyway, they had all these plastic handcuffs and **i think** each person had a card that you got signed by each husband/wife you marry. the object is to marry as many people as possible.

Toga parties are awesome, I had many friends who were in frats when I was in college way back when. You can be very creative with them, but then when I went to the frat toga parties, they were just one big drunken sex fest too. So be for warned on that..
