Damn it!

I guess I'll be chatting more frequently until I get hired again. Man! I'm not looking forward to the suspense of hoping my phone rings and receiving all those REJECT letters:

- "Don't call us, we'll call you"
- "Your resume will be kept on file for 6 months"
- "We found a candidate that fits more..."
- "Your skills are not a match..."
- "The position has been filled internally"

 Oh well...Where the hell is the silver lining? and if I hear one more person tell me, "Everything happens for a reason" I'll

It's a pity I can't use some curse words in this place cause I'm so ready to let some frustration out...And this is just day one!

NOOOOOO!

I can't imagine what you're going through now, but do you're best to keep yourself above water, that will haunt you like a plague. Do part time jobs, get Cobra insurance if you can (don't know how that works really). Retail is tight now with all the returining students, so I don't know, but get out there and network through volunteer work part time and call everybody you know. Obviously you want a career but I think the bare needs are important now, since you don't have an income coming in. Gosh, I thought the layoffs were over already!

Densel,

Ya know what... screw it, it's only a job... you've got your whole life ahead of ya to work.

Okay, okay, not to worry... this is what you do. You've got, what, 7 more months until you complete your masters in Mgmnt Info. Systems? Concentrate on that... get a part time job waitressing or something easy, just to keep some inflow of income. Enjoy the summer... have fun... relax... go to the beach everyday!

Maybe you can ask Pops for an early graduation present... instead of that Benz he promised, tell him you'll take an Altima, Maxima or a Honda Accord, but the kicker is that you need the balance of that cash he would spend on the Benz to live off of until you complete your masters. Once you finish your masters then go out and find a career orientated job.

And if worse comes to worse, if there's anything the airport dude can do, just let him know!! Just playin'...

Seriously though, don't stress... something will come up! Good Luck!:)

I just heard that my company is closing down our dept and asking all of us to relocate to upstate NY. I have been at this place for the past 4 years, and that's the longest I have ever been anywhere. After 4 years of blood and sweat, helping the dept build up from scratch, it seems funny how they can close it down in one week. Feels like, I am being kicked out of my house.

Oh well...atleast I have a job!!
