I know I'm a little older than the target audience, but I'm such a sucker for teen movies, like 'Mean Girls'. I rented 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' last night - what a disappointment. It wasn't even "good" bad, you know? Has anyone else seen any other teen-type movies they'd recommend?

I liked The Princess Diaries and want to see the sequel.

I've seen the ads for it and it DOES look cute! My mom and I were talking about how cute those movies (PD, Cinderella Story, etc) are really cute!

You can see the trailer on the PD2 website, I think it's http://www.princessdiaries2.com
I really wanted to see Cinderella Story but the reviews were ehhh so I'm thinking rental? Also I love how every disputes who's better, Lindsay or Hillary... I think Anne Hathaway is the real upcoming star.

Ahhhhh!!! I love teen movies! I've seen 'em all: She's All That, 10 Things I Hate About You, etc. etc. etc. I really want to see The Princess Diaries sequel and that Hilary Duff movie A Cinderella Story.
Mean Girls was great. 13 Going on 30 was a cute one, too.
I'm very much in touch with my inner teenager.

13 Going on 30 comes out on DVD today!
the princess diaries sequel is like a teen extravaganza... lindsay lohan has a song on the soundtrack. she's on the cover of rolling stone this week and it's mentioned in the article. i think kelly clarkson has a song too...

i really wanna see cinderella story and princess diaries 2...princess diaries one was wicked, and yes Anne Hathaway is better than lindsay lohan or hillary duff, looks wise and in acting skills.
a teen favorite still has to be "the breakfast club" and how about "not another teen movie" :)

Isn't Anne Hathaway a lot older than Hillary Duff and Linsday Lohan???

She's like 3 or 4 years old but they all sort of "play" the same age range... I think she has the best chance of transitioning into good 20something roles...

I LOVE teen movies. I am such a dork. I think it's because we didn't have any when we were like 13 or 14. One of my favorites is "Bring it on".

Oh I love Bring it On! And 10 Things I Hate About You. That's probably my favorite. Does Blue Crush count as a teen movie? Because I LOVE it! lol Actually I just want to BE Kate Bosworth so Orlando would be my boyfriend.

I'm glad i'm not the only one! My friends laugh at me all the time for still seeing them. I though A cinderella story was cute and will be seeing Princess Diaries 2 of course...
I love all the movies mentioned and then there's the ones from the 80's, Sixteen Candles, Some Kind of Wonderful, Pretty in Pink... not to mention Clueless :D

I loved Clueless and Bring It On, too - and of course the classic Heathers and 16 Candles!!! ;)
I'm going to buy 13 Going on 30 on DVD today and the Mean Girls DVD as soon as it comes out (I'm actually reading the book its based on right now, Queenbees and Wannabes, it's really interesting -and a little frightening!)
Oh and the first Princess Diaries is coming out on DVD as a special edition and I'm pretty sure I read it has a free ticket to the sequel in it.

Who wrote Queenbees and Wannabes? I want to read that.
All these movies listed are so good. Sixteen Candles is one of my all-time favorites.

Queenbees and wannabes is by Rosalind Wiseman.... it's actually a nonfiction book... I picked up a copy at B&N....

80s movies, clueless, and a few more of the 90s era hit the spot for me!!!!!!! pretty in pink and breakfast club. bring it on was great!
i'm a huge fan of the lindsay lohan/hilary duff movies. and i hate those girls!!! i'm sorry. their petty disputes over who aaron carter loves more is friggin' annoying as hell!!!!!!!!!!
that is all...just had to rant about those annoying tweens (as i like to call them). i must say that i respect anne hathaway because she seems cool and normal.

I like the older ones,
The Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
Weird Science
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Heathers
Then the newer ones,
Clueless
Bring It On
I don't feel as in touch with a lot of the newer ones like the American Pie trilogy which I hated. Some just try too hard.

Me too I must have watched it a thousand times in middle school/ high school. I'm sure it's still like that now, multiple viewings of Princess Diaries and Bring It On DVD, etc...
