I almost (keyword: almost) take back complaining about the jobs I've had in the past because right now I'm in between graduating and moving and have no job (and no money!) and am bored OUT OF MY MIND!!!! It was fun at first, but with barely a dime to my name, there are only so many movies to watch and books to read before you go insane! Anyone want to trade for a day? lol

Currently, I am sitting here at my desk with a handheld tape recorder, inputting LICENSE PLATE NUMBERS (thousands and thousands of them!) into Excel from a traffic count our civil engineering department just did this week.
Yes, I went to college for this. Sure you want to trade?
j/k, I'm sure I would be bored, too, if I were you (we just can't win, huh? lol)

Sus, I feel your pain - right after I graduated I had to take a retail job (no brain required) for measly pay.... I used to come home and cry to my husband saying "I PAID $100,000 FOR A COLLEGE DEGREE FOR THIS???!!!!!"
At the same time I always say we have to do what we have to do to pay the bills, even when we have to take lackluster jobs. But in the end, I just want to know that I have something that is marketable and will pay the bills at some point in my life....

You're inputting license plate numbers?! Oh man, yes I would rather be watching tv and playing computer games, lol! That's awful!!!

Hang in there. I moved to a city that is not kind to people with college education. You have to look in places you wouldn't even imagine to find a job. I stumbled into a library and discovered job listings requiring college education.

I know that feeling!!!
That's why I always dread being unemployed. Before I quit my last job, I thought long and hard for 3 days and nights about my possible boredom. I almost didn't quit because I'm afraid that I'll get depressed from the boredom. But I really hated my job, so what I did was prepared myself mentally for the boredom instead. Luckily, I got a job offer fairly quickly...hehe...
Also, have you tried temp agencies? It'll just give you something to do and easy money.

I moved to Las Vegas where only 13% of the population has a college degree. I was often told that I didn't have any experience. This city is service oriented. So, the majority of the jobs here are in sales and different types of services like casinos. I was offered a job in sales, but I'm not the twist your arm type.

When I graduated from college, my job didn't start until the end of August, so I had a three month gap between graduating and moving to start work.
I took a job as a convenience store cashier in the interim, just to give me something to freaking do, and I actually really enjoyed it. It was easy, social, and best of all, I knew I was only there temporarily.
