I tend to scream when I'm in my car or when nobody is around. Sometimes it helps & other times it doesn't.

The cushions on my sofa get a beating once in awhile, I'll admit it. I tend to have a bit of my Daddy's temper from time to time, which makes me go just a little bit crazy. I have to focus on unbreakable items, like sofa cushions and pillows. ;)
I do the same things - I've screamed in my car driving home, and I also use the side of my mattress as a punching bag when I am really frustrated.
Good to know I'm not alone!

Avril's hot....nothing wrong with her.....
And Linkin Park is pretty good....they've pretty much got one of the most unique sounds going...

I scream in my sleep... when I am frustrated in real life, I dream about frustrating situations and scream in my sleep instead of talking like I usually do.
I highly reccommend another way to deal. :D

I scream & cry in my car sometimes too. I think it really does help, especially when I have no place to go (due to lack of privacy of living in a living room).

she's a bit young for me to describe her as hot without feeling uncomfortable. it's weird for me to describe the olsen twins as hot. they're as young as my sister!
always wondered, can avril actually play the guitar?
and yeah, i really do like linkin park, it just doesn't seem like they have that much cred in the rock world.

I don't care much for Avril, either, though I like some of her newer stuff. I still think she's a punk poser.
There is so much shitty music out there!

The fact that Avril dissed her fans for dressing like her, I felt that was pretty messed up. Hello? They are your fans, you want them to like you, so don't make fun of them!

There aren't many things that annoy me more than Avril LaVigne. Except all the high school kids that make my bus stop on the way to work and school their hangout spot and insist on dressing just like her and being as obnoxious as hell.

haha. Well the male variation of the avril look. All black clothes. Spiked everything. Black Flag patches on everything. Like they even know who Black Flag is! They are so punk that they have taken punk to a whole new level...
mall punk!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Aw, you all sound so old - you know this is probably the same stuff that people were saying about us in the 80's and 90's... as long as they are not hurting anyone else, who cares?!

iwannascream2 all the time! Ha ha ha... i too like to smack the crap out of punching bags and write in journals. i also have a soundtrack.
what about alanis morrisette? she is also canadian and used to be angry as hell! Heck she filled a void in popular music - she made the angry white female commercially viable! "you outta know" is the ultimate breakup tune.
ugh... avril (yeah she can play but ugh). ugh... celine (as much as her voice is good).
other canadians to listen to when angry include:
- our lady peace
- nickelback
- melissa auf de mar
- sloan
- and more angry canadians that I cannot quite put my finger on! i know the song but cannot name that band.
grr... i am canadian!
P.S. Nirvana and Guns N'Roses are good too. Regrettably not Canadian...

i like the canadian comedians, jim carrey, mike myers...
iwannascream2
10-09-2004, 08:33 PM
Yeah, I think most of the original cast of SNL is Canadian too. There is a street named after Mike Myers in the TO suburb I live in. Jim Carrey also lived in the same TO suburb too. Strangely enough no street was named after him... Yet.
Then there are the supermodels! Well there is also Shania Twain. Ok that is not angry music but I like it!
Ok fine I have made this a Canadian pride thread. SO WHAT?!
AHHHH!!!!

I certainly do. They should apologize to the music industry for producing such inane, tuneless crap.

there is this mix that people have made and you can download it off Kazaa...its called how you remind me of someday and they mixed all of nicklebacks hits together just to prove every single song of theirs is the same.

Norah Jones is from Texas, or something...she's American.
Yeah, she doesn't play up that connection--she didn't even know who her father was until a few years ago. They've only met like once.

I have a constant urge to scream - I wish I would. I can never find an appropriate place. I will scream if I get to get in a car by myself for at least an hour. Sometimes I get giddy with anticipation when I know I will have the opportunity. I will decide to go somewhere and not invite anyone to ride with me and the whole way I will listen to rock (Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, etc.) and sing and yell at the top of my lungs. Love it. I am overdue for one of those trips...

Does screaming really get out all the anger you need? I would like to know since lately my shit list has been getting really long!
Any other methods to prevent one from screaming "Fuck you, fuck you, you are cool and oh yeah FUCK YOU TOO!!!" at the wrong time without causing physical symptoms like twitching. Hmmm... I think I will go do some angry ass songs on kareoke SOON.
BTW I too hate Nickelback. I was just listing them as angry Canadian musicians.
There are a shitload of famous Canadians. Not all of them angry. :p

iwannascream2
10-13-2004, 10:55 PM
Yeah but Furtado is not angry. She seems happy and friendly. She is ok. Actually she is Portugese-Canadian. Hmm... I guess the fact I need to say that makes me Canadian! Not enough to say she is Canadian. Have to mention the ethnic background. It is a subtle difference between Americans and Canadians.
So is Rush, "American Woman" was sung by a Canadian about American women. So are the Barenaked Ladies. There are from my neighborhood. And that bitch Anne Murray too...
BLAME CANADA! BLAME CANADA! With our beady little eyes, Our flapping heads so full of lies... Ha ha ha...

Numero Uno: Crowded Stores.
My personal version of hell is going to a crowded grocery store when everyone is getting off of work....or worse yet the mall during the entire month of December...or worse yet Costco on a Saturday. All of those annoying people and their rugrats in my way drives me up a wall. I'm usually pretty even-tempered, but nothing makes me loose my cool like having to deal with a crowded store. I just want to get in and get out and I end up having to trip over the old lady in the electric scooter.
Okay I'm done. Feel better now.
