So I just agreed to go on a trip to Foxwoods Casino in a couple weeks. Has anyone ever been there? What's good to play? I haven't really been to too many casinos, I'm more of horse race gambler myself, but it sounded like fun. Any suggestions for easy stuff to play besides slots?

Where's Coll--she's the casino queen!
I've been a few times. You can play bingo there.

Yeah, they have that. They have most casino games, I think.

Foxwoods is pretty good. I haven't been there for years but from what I remember it had a mall atmosphere. It also has some non-smoking gambling areas which is a nice feature.
As far as easy stuff, they have Casino War, pretty much the way you would play war at home. There is also a game called Acey-Deucey. I forgot the complete premise of it but I think it was basically like that game High-Low...You're basically betting on whether the next card will be higher or lower than the dealer's card. Look for those, as I mentioned it's been a few years for me. Roulette is a no-brainer as well.
If you want to learn a new game, try craps. It can be a fun game to play.
I haven't been to foxwoods - only Mohegan Sun, which is right by there. I don't gamble a lot but they have other stuff up there, like stores and restaurants (and Mohegan has that rock climbing wall, at least on the com'l).
P.S. - You really can't smoke indoors anywhere in CT, anymore, I don't think.

No, you can at the casinos b/c they are private clubs.
I didn't know that - that's interesting.

Yeah, the bar owners around the state are really upset b/c you can smoke at the casinos--they are trying to repeal the law. I hope they don't! I hate smoke!

Thanks for the good suggestions guys. And I always forget that not every place is smoke-free like NY.

Carol, they do have a website--that might help you too. Have fun!

play pai gow! it is my favorite game to play because there is actually some decision making involved, & also it is a pretty slow moving game so your $ tends to last.
i've won the most money playing black jack, though, & it is probably the easiest to understand.
video poker is cool if you can sit at a bar & get "free" drinks while you play. you can go really slow to stretch out your money!
don't play let it ride or 3 card poker.

On of my friends won $15,600 in one hand of poker at the Foxwoods. (I'm not even exaggerating. It was FANTASTIC!!!) Live it up. It's a blast there!!!!!
