Christopher Reeve Dead (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041011/ap_on_en_mo/obit_reeve&cid=502&ncid=716)

So sad....Christopher Reeve was a huge inspiration for everyone I feel, not just people suffering from spinal cord injury.

I know... :( And he was just mentioned Friday night by Kerry in the debate, as an example of the need for stem cell research, so he'd just been in my mind. Sad.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I heard about it this morning. It's so sad that he kept up hope for so long that he would walk again but died before it could happen.

I heard a report this morning with a close friend of his and he said the whole family was prepared for it...that they knew his life expectancy was short. But he was definitely a fighter! So it is still a shame to see him go. He has left behind tights that no one else will ever be able to fill.

I think I am going to rent Superman tonight as a tribute to The Man of Steel!

Yeah, his mom was just on the radio saying that his life was so difficult, and that she was happy for the suffering to be over. He put up such a strong, brave front that it seemed like he really WAS Superman, but it had to be such a hard way to live.

The news made me sad. He was so young and I was so amazed by how well he dealt with it all.

I took a fall off a horse the exact same way that he did when he was paralyzed. I remember my Dad yelling stay still and wondering if my neck was broken. I remember thinking about him at that moment, what happened to him.

Luckily, I was ok. He was a brave guy.

I think the whole thing is very sad. He will be missed. :(
