So I have had separate conversations this week with different friends about how we would like to meet some new people and expand on our current group of friends. It seems like once you get out of college its harder to meet new friends to just hang out with. People you can just have dinner with, enjoying interesting conversation, play monopoly, or just call up when you are free and make plans to do something interesting. Not into drugs, dont mind drinking but the bar scene hasn't really been a good way to meet new friends so far from my friends and my own experience. Most of our friends we met in school, through work or are friends of friends.
I have a feeling since I have had this coversation with different friends about this topic this week as well as seeing a couple of postings on here with the same general topic there are probably a lot of people out there just looking to find some new people to hang out with. Maybe your group of friends has dwindled because after college people moved to different places, maybe you just moved to new york and haven't met many new people, maybe you would just like to have a few different people to add to your circle of friends.
In any case I am looking for anyone for whom this is the case who is located in or around NY (just because thats where I will be planning things so if you can get to NY). I would like to plan something where we can all get together and meet. I haven't figured out what or where yet, but just something someplace where we can talk and meet new people and hopefully make some new friends knowing everyone else there is looking to make some new friends too.
So if this sounds interesting to you, send me an email. I have some ideas for some activities, but would like to see how many people would be interested before planning something. So I figured I would collect email addresses from anyone who would be interested and once we see how many there are I can send out an email to everyone who expressed interest. Hope to hear from you!
