This magazine endorsed Bush in 2000 and Dole in 1996, and it also advocated going to war with Iraq. However, Bush's abject incompetence with the war's prosecution seems to be the reason they would prefer John Kerry. Also they have misgivings with his pandering to the religious right. It's not a very wholehearted endorsement, but they think change is needed. Here is the article:

They endorsed Bush and they approved of Iraq war. Sounds like a pretty shitty track record to me. They can take their Kerry endorsment and go F themselves. I support change but Kerry will not change anything. He's the same alternative asshole choice we've always been presented with.

Sorry, I'm venting. Just had some lady call me tonight asking me if I was going to vote for Kerry. I asked her how she got my number and she gve some bullshit answer. I started going into my grievances and detected she didn't give a shit. She just wanted to make it thru her quota of calls so I let her off the hook. Then at the end she asked if she could mark me down for Kerry. I told her to mark me down as independent undecided. I should have told her to tell Kerry to stop being such a spineless wimp. I don't get this from the W propoganda. I get it from the fact he renounced his vietnam protesting days. He sort of gave a "Oh I was young and dumb" response. Hardly anyone would say Vietnman was a good idea, why be a wimp and say you were wrong to critisize it? I'm so tired of this election. All these people jockeying for my vote and after the vote is in I'm chopped liver. This elections going to be a mess. the trials will last until Inauguration and we'll be embarassed at our joke of a gov't. And then we'll continue to try to convince other countries to adopt our joke of democracy.

Have you ever read The Economist? It may have a bias that doesn't agree with your views, but it is a damn good magazine. It has some pretty insightful articles, and its name is deceptive--I have found its articles to often be more critical of traditional economics than the articles you find in more academic journals.

I actually saw him finally speak proudly of what he did during Vietnam.....i dunno, maybe it is a recent thing, but a few times he has brought it up in a positive way.....
