I am starting a group for post-college people in Santa Barbara. Luckily I have found 4 other people (besides me) interested so far.
I was wondering for those of you who have started groups. What do you guys do? Do you plan activities ahead of time? Just meet and chat? Have topics to discuss?
I haven't set our first meeting yet and am trying to get ideas.

Has anybody actually started formal groups? I know some Chicago/midwest people have met, but has anybody got anything more formalized going?

I started a group for post-college people in Las Vegas. So far, I'm the only member.

Well I haven't started a group for this, but awhile back I had a few groups for Social Workers. It was pretty cool getting to know others in the field. We met up at Cosi and at a bar. I stopped doing it though cuz I got really busy and a lot of wierd random people started showing up who claimed they were SWers and then when they got there they were just a random person looking for a job and this week, they chose SW as their career of choice. It was pretty annoying because they dominated the group with all their questions about how to get into the field...........
