America has NOTHING to apologize for. The world is BETTER with America than without it. Those people need to realize that.

Everyone always has something they can and probably should apologize for. Anyone who says they don't are completly and totally full of shit. Or they are a saint, in which case they wouldn't be blabbing about how they do nothing wrong and don't need to apologise.
Apologies go a long way in human relationships and why not apply it to world issues. Whats wrong with officially apologising to the Indians for commiting one of the most heinous acts of genocide on them? It doesn't cost a damn thing and it may cause some healing. What would be wrong with apologising to South Vietnames for killing millions of their people. Or apologising to the people in hiroshima and nagasaki. It doesn't matter if you feel it was justified, suck it up and apologise anyway.
Apology and asking forgivenes is a corner stone of human relationships. And forgiving others who wrong you is just as vital. If you do neither, you carry around hate and anomosity and you never heal from that negative event. As long as you hold onto it it will never leave you. Unless you enjoy carrying that big burden around with you.
