I have been to both Cape Town AND Stellenbosch...but, no, I don't live there...I live approx. 17 or 18 hours' flight away from there.

at least there's someone else here living in the southern hemisphere, even if it's another continent.

all you crazy southern hemisphere people and your backwards water swirls

dammit, don't listen to WeirdBrake!
and another thing: suppose the water did actually swirl in opposite directions in the different hemispheres, why is it assumed that it's 'backwards' in the south and 'forwards' in the north? who's to say it's not 'forwards' in this hemisphere?

Cuz anyone who is not like me is "backwards"

it doesn't even make sense to describe rotation as forwards or backwards. it's clockwise or anti-clockwise. that'd be my undergraduate physics kicking in.

...Drink some Fosters beer
That is the worst beer to ever emerge from Australia - we don't even drink it here

Ummm, hasn't Fosters been owned by Coors or something for a long time?
Anyways, I'm Eastern hemisphere...not that it really helps although Dutch and Afrikaans are so similar.

I live in DC, but I am dying to GO to South Africa!
So if you kindly provide me a bodyguard and let me crash on your couch, and hang out with me, and write my bf an email telling him you are either female or gay, I will meet up with you in CapeTown. sound good?

Hey, I know I'm sorta knew, but can you count me in on that South Africa thing? Please? Pretty please? Cherries and jimmies (or sprinkles) on top? I can be a bodyguard... well, I used to take kickboxing... for a few weeks... good enough?
