United We Stand Defending Marriage Rally
When: Nov. 20, 2004
Time: 4-5 p.m.
Where: Christ Family Church, 931 3rd Street, [insert town], IL
Do you think marriage between one man and one woman shoudl be preserved? Eleven other states overwhelmingly passed marriage amendments on Nov. 2. Your attendance will show support for traditional marriage as God established it and send a clear strong message to Illinois lawmakers that we want to preserve marriage, also.
United We Stand Defending Marriage rallies are sponsored by the coalition to Protect Marriage: African American Family Association, Vote Life America, The Walsh Forum, Catholic Citizens of Illinois, Concerned Women for America of Illinois, Illinois Family Institute and Citizens for Community Values of Illinois.
Which struck me as interesting, since I wasn't aware that the institution of traditional marriage was in jeopardy, or in need of additional support or preservation.
