Removing threads - not cool

Apparently my thread titled "I fucking hate government work" was removed by the webmaster. I'm assuming it's because of the profanity. I think that this is wrong, because we are adults here. The site was created for those of us going through a "crisis", so of course we're going to swear. It makes sense to remove a thread if it's an attack on someone here, but otherwise, it should stay. If someone doesn't want to read it, they don't have to.

Not sure what happened to your thread, Athena, but I'm one of the moderators, and I can tell you for a fact that I didn't delete it. I can also tell you that I'm pretty sure my co-moderator didn't delete it, either. I liked your thread, and you'll recall that I was one of the people who responded to it.

Anyway, not too sure what to say, other than to reiterate that I had nothing to do with your thread's removal. :(

that's not the first time something like this has happened. i recall K10's posts kept disappearing after a while and she didn't know why.

Yeah, typically if the mods are going to delete something, they let the poster know, along w/ the reason.

I'm the other moderator and I didn't delete it either! I can also verify that the site's administrator didn't delete it, since she was getting married, lol. I also liked your thread, Athena, and I didn't see anything bad about it. I'm not the swear police, since I cuss like a dirty ol' sailor!

Can you remove a thread you started? Not that I want to, I;m just curious.

Yes. Just delete it the same way you'd delete any other post of yours. If it was a thread you started, it'll delete everything in the entire thread.

What you do is you click on the "edit" icon at the bottom of your post, check "delete?" at the top, and then click "delete now."
