YAY! This is the first day in weeks that I haven't gone through the day with knots in my stomach, waiting for my boss to chew me out about something!!!! A co-worker said that he must have gotten some last night, b/c he's only yelled at one person today!
Well, if that's the case, I hope he gets some every night, b/c today I feel like I did the first 6 mo. or so at this job ~ happy and glad to be part of the team.
23 minutes left to go until the end of the day...lets see if I stay on his good side till then and complete the day!

I can't imagine working for a volatile employer. As much as I complain about my job at times I have to say that I work for very reasonable, generous people.
KittyCrazy, how do you stand it?!

ugh, I know how you feel KittyCrazy. My boss totally gives me knots in my stomach too.. although she has been nicer the past two days, I think its because she just had 8 days vacation. Although she did start to get nasty once yesterday... I was feeling better, and all it took was for her to START to show her nasty attitude again, and I got knots in my stomach again... ugh. I hate her.

I get knots in my stomach as a result of my manager sometimes. She has a way of berating people, making them feel 2 inches tall. I dread closing with her (which I have to all the time). I work in retail, and I run the floor when I close. So it's not easy cleaning up, checking people's zones, and back up cashiering. Tonight she even asked if I had even zoned (cleaned up) anything! I was pokier than usual tonight, but that comment was not exactly productive.
Sorry, had to vent. But it makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one getting berated for no reason. I'm dreading the holiday season...

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I worked in a place where I literally just tried not to get yelled at. And I worked so freakin' hard there. It affected me so negatively - I had no choice but to quit.
My building was across the street from Fanheuil Hall in Boston. I remember going out on a Sat. night there having such a great time and then looking up and seeing my building and just DREADING Monday and not believing how my weeks and weekends could be so different. Literally, heaven and hell.
I would have an ulcer by now if I still worked there - plus ostracizing myself from family and friends because of how angry the whole situation made me..
Congrats on your good day!!!

I even made it 2 more whole days without having my boss be snarky to me! YAY!!! He's actually been back to the cool, funny boss I had prior to his moodiness! LOL
In HIS defense though, I have been working extra hard the past few days, so maybe he noticed and it made him happy.
