All there seems to be around here are college students. Hate to say it, but I've moved out of the phase.

Anyone else around here feel the same way?

Welcome, ErLeCa.

Hmm.... most people I know are not college students, so I guess I can't say I feel exactly the same. But it also depends on where exactly you live, how old you are, etc. I know people from work and through friends and my husband, and most are around my age or older. But I also don't hang out much where college students likely would. How are you trying to meet people?

I live around Syracuse so the college is right there and I'm not exactly interested in meeting people at bars, etc, because they are mostly younger than me (I'm 23) and interested in getting drunk (I know I'm stereotyping here, but those aren't the sort of people I'm looking to meet) I've joined a singing group around here to meet people and get involved in things but most of the people there are much older than me. I've also joined another group that meets in the city every Saturday. They're a lot of fun, but again, they all have families and aren't interested in "hanging out"
I thought I'd be able to meet people at work but it turns out the place I eventually found a job is very small and I'm the youngest person there!
I can't say a have a whole lot to complain about though. Work is good, and I am making friends (albeit older friends) around here and getting involved in the community. I guess it would just be nice to meet people who are more my age and who I can relate to better.
