Lately I've been such a homebody (mostly because I don't have money, lol). I guess I go through phases, but I defintely am pretty balanced.

You guys??

i go through phases as well. since we are just coming off of new yrs and the holidays i feel like chillin' lately. but normally i enjoy going out on a sat night for dinner and some drinks. and dancing too, but not every week like when i was younger.

ditto to kimmer. I feel like not going out as much means I'm old so it depresses me that I don't. I just can't afford the wasted hangover days anymore. It's also just not as much fun as it used to be. See? even saying that is lame. Where's my cane?

I'm definitely a homebody, not into the night clubs & sometimes I hate going to social events unless somewhere is there with me.

I go back and forth too. But since I moved back to my parent's I'm kinda forced to be at home a lot. I don't know anyone out here to go out with anyway and there really isn't a whole lot of places to go out to. Plus, it's not like I can drink anywhere because I'll always have to drive home. When I was at school though most days I loved going out and dancing and having fun, but some I was just too tired (I had a hecktic schedule) I wish I could go out more now, but the whole living situation, plus the fact that I work 8.5 hours a day 7 days a week kinda puts a damper on that...

It depends. I can be equally happy going out clubbing or staying in chilling with my boyfriend. I do more of the latter these days, and that suits me fine. :)

Yeah we all know what happens when you "chill" with that boyfriend of yours! It always seems to end up involving the police or a court! ;) :D

I think I fall somewhere in between. I'm definitely happy in homebody mode, the comforts of making my own space, and enjoying myself in it are appealing. But I can't be cooped up too long. I go crazy when it's nasty cold winter, like it is where I am now, because it's not very appealing to leave the house. I'll go stir crazy. I love being out and about. But I'm not a partier, really. I just like to go out and see new places, do new things, change up the scenery. I can go along with the whoo-hoo party scene once in a great while, but it's not really my thing, and not a consistent sort of activity at all.

Yep that's pretty much me too.

*deep, world-weary voice* Yeah... I warned her not to get involved with a guy like me.

i'm more the homebody...never have been the partier type. not that i don't enjoy going out. i certainly do enjoy hanging out with friends, going clubbing once in a blue moon, going to the bars, etc. but i always feel guilty about going out. i feel like i should be at home doing something more constructive with my time.

the homebody thing i'm guessing stems from me being more introverted than extroverted.

I am a homebody that listens to music all day long until I go to a concert. Philly may have the Roots (so jealous) but I have the Stars, Metric, Jill Barber + Broken Social Scene concerts coming in January. Do whatever you want I say. My ideal date is a all ages concert that finishes early so I can go to bed early or catch rescue me or six feet under.

I also bartend so I go to work and stay up late working. Going to a bar for me is so stupid because I don't drink and I hate going outside with my friends when they smoke.

I'm a homebody, unless my nightly trips to the gym count :)

As far as the weekends go, I'm a homebody one night and a partier the next. I can't handle two nights of going out!

I wouldn't say a partier, but i definitely like to go out a lot; generally at least three times a week on 'work nights' and then catch up on sleep on the weekends :) if not going out. Like WS said, when i'm home too long in a stretch, i just get stir crazy. so even if going out just involves going to dinner w/ some friends or to play darts at the dive bar, i've been out for a little while. Now that i think about it, i probally go out more now than when i had the late classes and COULD sleep late. LOL. such is my life :p

I definitely have calmed down quite a bit, for sure. The first year I was out of college, I literally could have gone out every night of the week......and I sometimes did! It was a rather expensive phase of my life.

homebody - i have become such an old woman. i am content with my cats, my knitting, a good book or movie & a cup of tea. my mom goes out more than i do. i had four solid years of partying, aka college, & i am still recovering. i go out once in awhile, but i don't drink much anymore so it is not nearly as fun.

I'm either one extreme or the other. This past Friday night/Saturday morning, and then at 5AM Saturday morning we went up to Sunday River (Bethel, ME) for skiing and turned around and was back in Boston for Saturday night for more...

I like the all or nothing diehard lifestyle.

I meant to say I had drank and partied Friday night and Saturday morning before going up at 5AM to Sunday River, and then did more Sat night when we got back to Boston...

Thank goodness! I was beginning to suspect I'd be the only one answering Partier. We always have a school night involved, not necessarily drinking, but getting together. Last night 7 of us played board games till 11:30 pm...no drinks, but I'm tired nonetheless. Sundays are make-up days for me...sleeeeeepppp

Figured I should get it all out of my system before everyone starts popping out kids.

Partier!

Recently, I have become a partier. For the past month I have been clubbing every weekend. When I go to the club I go to dance. I don't drink so it's not like I'm coming home every weekend with a hangover. My mother made a comment the other day saying that I've been going to the club a lot. Then I we were talking about my friend who is getting married and she asked if I am excited that she is getting married because that is what adults do when they grow up.

So, I guess I am not an adult because I choose to go out. But what am I supposed to be doing at this age? Sit at home with my cat everynight? I think not.

I think I'm more of a homebody. The other night I went to a bar and had karaoke on my birthday, and I pretty much just sat there and stared off into space. People kept coming up to me asking why I was mad or upset. I guess I just have a upset/worried look as my default look cuz I wasn't mad or upset. I just don't feel comfortable in bars hanging out w/ a bunch of people. I'm better in small groups at someone's house or a coffee shop or something.

Was that a serious comment, or made in a funny manner? Just because one gets married, it doesn't make them an adult. Also people can be adults without getting married. I would've rolled my eyes and laughed my ass off if my friend said that!

I wouldnt say a partier....I go out on fridays and saturdays and sundays...and usu wednesdays too. Lately its just the weekends that I go out.

I like to be social...but I like to spend time at home too.
