Are there any other Eagles fans on the board?

I was just wondering if there's anyone else out there who shares in my nervousness. I have faith in the team, but I'm so used to failure.

I don't know if I can take it anymore.

Unless... this is the year. It could be, I guess.

We'll have to wait and see.

I'm not necessarily an Eagles fan (I feel like I should have the censor over my face so no one knows who I am!), but it would be so much fun if they actually go to the Superbowl this year! Besides, good specials at bars then, huh??

Sorry, but I don't see the Eagles beating the Patriots, Colts, or Steelers. The Pats are too disciplined, Colts have too much O, and the Steelers too much D. But if the Steelers make the Super Bowl I'll root for the Eagles for you!

Oops. New England just destroyed the Colts and limited their offense to just 3 points, and I don't think anyone expected that. I think Philly's gonna have a tough time against either team if they make the Super Bowl.

Being a long time Red Sox fan, I know what it's like to be used to disappointment, so I think I know what the Eagles Fans are going through. Every time your team gets close they choke. However, last year's Sox team proved anything can happen. It may take 86 years, but anything can happen...

...although it won't be this year because the Pats rule!

Just to clear the air I never meant to say I thought the Eagles would choke. It's just having seen New England destroy the Colts and having seen the Steelers destroy the Eagles earlier this season, I can't imagine how the Eagles will go up against either team.

Hmmm, you must not be a Red Sox fan. We've grown up with sad violin music constantly playing in the background. I think Sox fans have earned the right to complain whenever they want to.

That being said, games 4 and 5 of the ALCS last year were two of the happiest nights of my life.

Also, if you ever catch me complaining about the Pats, then I give you permission to shoot me.

I'm not an Eagles fan but I am a Donovan McNabb fan. I think the Eagles can get past the Falcons but they'll have trouble with the Pats, who I think will put away the Steelers.

I'm not terribly knowledgable on pro football. Can the Eagles' defense handle Vick? That guy was on fire this week!

I think they can. Their defense is better than the Rams'..who really didnt belong in the playoffs to begin with.

Didn't mean to sound like I couldn't take a joke. I knew you were messing around. I promise I won't do any more complaining about the Sox, even if the Sox lose 100 games this year. I'm just happy I was alive to see them win once.

Anyway, the Eagles have a great chance next week. Vick is amazing, yet completely unpredictable. He can come out and dominate (like last week), or he can be shut down (week 13 in Tampa Bay). I actually could care less who wins.

Well, I hope the Eagles do stop Vick, because if they don't, it will be one really uninteresting Super Bowl... the Falcons vs. the Steelers? the Falcons vs. the Patriots? Really?

I have a good feeling that a Super Bowl with Michael Vick would be far from boring. Plus, Super Bowls are impossible to predict, in regards to being entertaining. EVERYBODY was SURE the last Super Bowl would be boring and it turned out to be one of the best in years.

Eagles will be okay against Atlanta. We will play man on the receivers, put eight in the box and dominate on D. Offensively, we'll get our 20 or so points and win.

Against NE or PIT, my rational side says we'll lose. However, the Eagles always play good teams tough and sometimes lose to crappy teams. So I think they still have a shot against either team. Either way the Phillies still piss me off. Terry Adams? Lieber is okay, but we still need another big time arm in the rotation. Atleast, Millwood is gone.

hmm...its gotta be someone's that you dont expect to see. Not that I expect to see Paul McCartney's but I'd prefer a female. No disrespect to Beatles fans. Even tho musical talent is unnecessary, I think we should limit it to musicians.

Yeah but there are plenty of people out there who are technically "musicians" but have zero musical talent. Why even bother with trying to sort them out? :D
