Anyone see In Good Company? I haven't seen it, but it kinda caught my attention because the movie involves someone exactly my age...a 26 year old go-getter (Topher Grace) who quickly moved up the ranks of a big firm and is the boss of a 51 year old (Dennis Quaid) who purportedly paid his dues through the years, slowly moving on up until he was demoted and replaced by this "kid" half his age.

I think this movie speaks volumes about our generation...it seems that a lot of us...not all but a good portion of us, expect to be in a supervisory role within just a couple of years of finishing school and a CEO role not long after. That is, we are unwilling to pay our dues and expect a lot of responsibility really quickly. I personally feel that this is probably unrealistic, because I realize that for many firms, there is an unwavering hierarchy, and it takes a long time to move up the ladders. But many don't subscribe to that motion and expect to be the head of some department by age 25 or 26.

I saw it, and it was a lot better than I thought it would be. It wasn't as predictable as I thought it would be either. Very funny :) Go see it!:D
