I can honestly say that I was not all that interested in the game last night. Although it did end up being a good finish. I was very much looking forward to the commercials though.
I was curious what you thought of them. What were your overall impressions of the commercials last night? Any that you really liked or disliked?
I have to throw my vote in for the MC Hammer commercial where everything is repo'd (really sad he agreed to it, but yet funny) and the CareerBuilder.com commercials. Overall though I was HIGHLY disappointed. Nothing really pushed the envelope as far as cool ideas or cool technical features like they have in the past. Nothing memoral...IMO.
And if you need a refresher...

The ones that made me laugh the most were the Ameriquest ones that pretty much said Don't Judge Too Quickly. Then the Diet Pepsi one where everyone copied P Diddy was funny. And lastly, the one where the guy gives his friends his tix to the game and then text messages him pictures of where he's at. "That's my apartment... that's my beer... that's my girlfriend!" hehehe. I didn't quite get the McDonalds one with the Lincoln Fry.
I think overall the commercials weren't as great as they have been. My all time favorite is the one with the donkey who wanted to be a Clydesdale.

Yeah i think i liked the Careerbuilder ones the best.
Some of the BEST commercials were the ones that weren't aired during then though because they wouldn't allow them.
For instance: http://www.budweiser.com/agecheck.asp?section=entertainment&subSection=tv_commercials&commSelect=1
the commercial should come right up for you to click on after you put in ur birthday

Ya...I thought most of em were in the realm of "cute." But there were a couple that I thought were funny. Mainly the diet pepsi one mentioned earlier, that bud light one where the pilot jumps out of the plane, and the emerald nuts one with the unicorn and santa claus, etc.

I must have missed that one... I thought the Pepsi ones were pretty good, and the ad for the new Ford Mustang. Overall I was kind of disappointed though.

I liked the one where the football players from all the "losing" teams were singing the song from Annie...the Tampa Bay guy was the best...he was singing and his kids were playing with swords and shields in the background (being little Bucs I guess) and he gets all mad and yells "Just shut up already!!!!" and continues singing. At the commercial's end, it says "Tomorrow, we're all undefeated."

My favorite commercial was the careerbuilder.com commercial where one monkey kissed the boss monkey's butt. I thought I was going to fall out. Being male I LOVED the godaddy.com commercial and the Tobassco commercial; however, for me the best one was the Bud commercial where the animals showed up to take the donkey's place with the Clydesdales.
To funny.

I was also pretty disappointed this year. The censors really took this super bowl hostage, and the commercials suffered a little. I really wanted to see the MC Hammer commercial, but I guess I missed it.
There was one commercial for CareerBuilder that I remember liking, but now I don't remember what the whole idea of the commercial was! The P. Diddy commercial was great!
But let's hope next year is better, now that everyone's gotten over the halftime boob fiasco from the last super bowl.

And here I was thinking it was one of the best in years - loved the stage and when the fans all sang along with the cards spelling out the lyrics.

i just thought halftime could have been more entertaining and upbeat. paul mcartney isnt even from this country and has bad mouthed the U.S. a few times. my mom who is 54 even thought it kind of a drag!

Speaking of performances...did anyone see the pregame performances? I thought that was the WEIRDEST combo of performers ever put together...I forget the first girl but she was a new country artist....then Charlie Daniels...then the Black Eyed Peas...and then Earth Wind and Fire. WTF!

Hmmm... guess they could have gotten Ashlee Simpson to do it... now that would have been entertaining! I do see your point though... didn't quite go along with the whole patriotic theme now that I think of it.
I almost forgot - I loved the ad where the guy is making dinner for his girlfriend and the white cat steps on the pan of red sauce sending it flying. The girlfriend comes in to the scene of the guy holding the cat in one hand, a large knife in the other, and red sauce pooled up beneath them. Loved that one. :huge:

I was kind of flipping around and missed a lot of the game and commercials, but there were a few I saw that I liked. My favorite was the Ameriquest one where the guy's making dinner and and the cat knocks over the spaghetti sauce and it ends up looking like he was murdering the cat. As other people said, the Mustang one and P. Diddy ones were funny too.
I wasn't that impressed with the halftime show either. Paul McCartney was just singing some songs I wasn't that big a fan of, and I like the Beatles. We were laughing at part when everyone was singing and waving their arms.

Here's another vote for the guy making dinner and the cat knocks it over. I was dying! But other than that, they were all pretty tame.

- FedEx/Kinko's with Burt Reynolds and the bear
- Godaddy.com fake hearing (schwing!)

But of course! I forgot also the one where the guy goes into the convenience store and he's talking on one of those headset phones and the owners think they're being robbed. :green:

The GoDaddy.com ones weren't as clever as I thought they would be. They just looked like a video of some dumb girl with fake boobs. Wow. That's a new concept.
My favorites were the Designated Driver Dance with Cedric the Entertainer, the P. Diddy Diet Pepsi one (so true!), and the Mastercard one with the merchandise mascots.
