If you could see your life in the future (5 years, 25 years, whatever), would you?

Sometimes I really think I'd like to, but I don't think I'd be able to when it came down to it.

What if I didn't see anything???? That would scare the hell out of me!

That is such a hard question. On one hand, if you could see the future and it was bad you could change something to make it work out for the better. On the other hand, if it was good, who's to say you don't eff it up somehow by expecting life to be a certain way?

I wouldn't look into the future and just live for right now.

i would do it if there was a guarantee that i couldn't change it no matter what i did.

nevermind, i don't really care.

It kind of creeps me out just thinking about it, so no, I wouldn't look into the future.

Yeah, this is exactly the issue here. It's like that movie The Dead Zone. You can't really "know your own future." At best, you'd only know the future you would have had if you didn't know about it (which means you're not really looking at your future). After all, if you know about it, then you can change it.

Have any of you seen The Butterfly Effect? It deals with this topic - cool movie.
