I know, this thread has probably existed in dozens of incarnations before I even got here. Anyway...
My new favorite song of the moment is Numb/Encore by Jay-Z and Linkin Park. It grew on me.
Unfortunately Get Right by J. Lo is growing on me, too. The woman can't even sing, but I love the production value of the track. Except for that irritating brass instrument that keeps playing. Makes me feel conflicted inside.

Those are my two favorites today, too. Plus, anything by Jay-Z (including the Collision Course stuff.) I'm angry and in a dancing mood. I wish today was Friday. I need to DANCE this weekend...

I am retro girl. I listen to virtually no current music. My sister will periodically come home from college, visit me, and roll her eyes. Oh, well.

We must have similar tastes in music. I love to dance, too, and it's been wayyyyyyy too long since I have. :(

"Percolator" - Cajmere
It's an older song but I heard in a bar the other night and I always get amped when I hear it.

Is that the one where the guy just repeats "It's time for the percolator"?

Percolator definitely brings me back to high school too.
I can't get tired of "Float On" either.

I've had a tendency to sway towards catchy songs on the radio, so I really do enjoy "Since you've been gone" by Kelly Clarkson.
Plus, anything on Green Day's "American Idiot" CD.

Hee, Met, that was a road trip staple from my youth! Best cover ever!
I'm really into U2's "Miracle Drug" right now, and also have John Legend's "Get Lifted" on repeat a lot.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite song, but lately I love hearing it on the radio. The song is "Daughters" sung by Jon Mayer. It's a catchy melody & tone to it.

You Found Me By Kelly Clarkson
Is this a dream
If it is
Please don't wake me from this high
I'd become
Comfortably numb
Until you opened up my eyes
To what it's like
When everything's right
Oh I can't believe
You found me
When no one else was looking
How did you know just where I would be
Yeah you broke through all of my confusion
The ups and the downs and you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
You found me
So here we are
And that's pretty far
When you think of where we've been
No going back
I'm fading out
All that has faded me within
You're by my side
Now everything's fine
I can believe
I was hiding
Till you came along
And showed me where I belong
You found me
When no one else was looking
How did you know just where I would be
Yeah you broke through all of my confusion
The ups and the downs and you still didn't leave
I guess that you saw what nobody could see
The good and the bad and the things (everything) in between
You found me

As far a new music, I guess I'd have to say Green Day's American Idiot CD. I haven't heard much new music, though. I don't care for the radio usually and I listen to cds and stuff I've downloaded, which is mostly old stuff.
