Oh, we're allowed to count TV shows as guilty pleasures? Then mine are The O.C. and Gilmore Girls.
Also going out to eat with my sister-in-law once a month at really nice restaurants. We justify that as girls' night out so she can have some time away from her three kids (she's a stay-at-home mom), but it's funny that we pick a nicer restaurant for that night than we would normally get to eat at with our frugal husbands... :)

I currently have a bag of dove milk chocolate hearts in the drawer next to me which i am keeping ALL to myself
AND im making my bf take me to godiva so i can pick out a box of chocolates for myself today. lol

You know, the Godiva store at one of the malls around here always gives free samples to people walking by. I have abused my knowledge of that fact on more than one occasion :D Mmm, chocolate sounds really good right about now.

I just bought a pair of awesome heels and a slinky top at Deb.
My current guilty pleasures are:

- Popcorn chicken, which I'm going to go get for lunch
- Entertainment Weekly

Wordsmith - we have a DEB at our mall in Medford - I didn't think anyone else had ever heard of it! I used to shop there all the time in high school. I like shopping at Maurices too - they have cute sweaters.
Hopeless - I subscribe to Self magazine! Are you doing the Self challenge?

Gilmore Girls?
No one should feel guilty about Gilmore Girls. It is a great show. :)

Kitty, Deb has cheesy teenybopper and clubby clothes, mostly cheap knockoff type stuff. But every so often, I'll see something that looks really cute.
Tarty, they don't carry jeans to accommodate the booty (so few places do), but their tops still fit me okay!

My current guilty pleasure is The L Word. Really great show, and you can't find that many women in starring roles any place else.

I have the exact opposite problem with teeny-bopper shops. The tops are always so tiny!

I agree Gilmore Girls isn't a guilty pleasure, but One Tree Hill, Smallville, and American Idol are :huge:
Not to mention a certain message board while working, shopping at Charlotte Russe on occassion, and I always read the TV Guide. lol.

Yeah, "lucky" me, I have a teenybopper-sized chest, evidently. Which goes well with the ghetto booty. What up, pear-shaped build?
Kitty
02-11-2005, 07:35 PM
I don't have a big chest either..but I'm just bigger on top..like, I have broad shoulders and a wide rib cage or something..it really sucks...at least you have a womanly shape..mine is just odd..

I can't watch this season of GG - we don't get the WB. So I have to satisfy myself with watching reruns on ABC Family. :frustrate

02-13-2005, 02:45 PM
When I was in college Party of Five was everyone's guilty pleasure, and my roommate did a semester of study abroad in Australia where they were a year behind with airing new shows. She got me to e-mail her a recap of each week's episode so she wouldn't fall behind on the storylines. Then she would drive her Australian friends crazy teasing them because she always knew what was going to happen before they even watched the show each week. :)

I'm not much of a regular drinker but lately I've been drinking a lot more -- not a lot at each sitting which is usually a drink or two but more often. That has lately been either beer -- Yuengling black and tan chilled ice cold in an ice cold glass or chilled tequila which is so yummy with some salt. However I am cutting back now because I do want to lose about 10 lbs

I can't believe there are so many Gilmore Girls references. I too watch the reruns on ABC Family whenever I get the chance.
Also, I drink both coffee and wine too much, but I love them both. This summer, I'm going to cut back though, and probably become really bitchy because of it.
QLC also is a guilty pleasure. I have a lot of shit I should be doing right now.

Oh yes. I found some half off the day after christmas because they had a Santa on them and had one a week as a treat because they were so good. Kinda makes you wonder why you drink 32 ounces of coke in one setting because you don't savor the taste as much as a small amount.
Anyways. I don't like the idea of referring to these as "guilty" pleasures because I don't feel guilty at all, but lately I've been enjoying homemade cocoa made with real chocolate, oreo cookies and bubble baths.
