I've been posting for a while now and scanning the other topics for people in the midwest. I would love to start a coffee-house support group... but I can't find you guys out there. Where are you? Let me know and we'll get out of the house/office and into the world to meet each other.

Anna,

Hi! My name is Katy and I just moved to Chicago a little over a year ago after I graduated college. Things have been rough this year, but somehow I have survived. Would love to chat sometime about the city. What have your experiences been here in Chicago? Where did you go to school? You can e-mail me.

Hello all!

I am in the Chicago area, and I would love the chance to get to know some new people! So how do we want to get started?

Have you guys had any luck hooking up in Chicago? I am a resident of Wrigleyville and would like to join your coffee clutch. I am going to be 25 Monday and I am loosin' it.

Howdy! Are you ready for our Chicago winters? I'm in the burbs of Chi-town stumbling around in the dark as well. I just got the book from the library a couple days ago and I'm loving it. I'm not alone... yea! I would love to get together with people in this area to commiserate. If you can, drop me an e-mail. freshbeatschris@aol.com

Hey you all. Currently I live in TX but am hoping to move to Chicago in the next few years. I would love for someone to e-mail me because I have so many questions about the city.

After a few post-college years in Chicago, I moved for job reasons, but I miss it like mad and hope to eventually find my way back. Here's my question...where the heck were y'all when I was aimlessly roaming Andersonville, sure I was destined to be alone among 3 million-plus people? Too bad I only came across the QLC book after I relocated out to the sticks of central Illinois. But, seriously, my experience is that Chi-town, like any other metropolis, is full of folks just like us - people who would really dig each other if only they didn't stand on the "L" platform with downcast eyes wishing it were easier to meet cool people with whom one would have much in common. So, bust down those walls, start those social groups! The city's too groovin' to go it alone.

I don't live anywhere close to Chicago, nor have I ever... Maybe this is strange, trying to connect some people whom I've never met myself, but anyway, I happen to have found a very cool internet diary of one Chicago girl...

Hello fellow Chicagoans,

I am in the Chicago 'burbs and am wondering if Anna started the cool coffeehouse that I saw proposed awhile back. If not, maybe we should start a listserv from one of those free groups like Topica and then can easily add anyone who e-mails here and coordinate places and times? I had my quarterlife crisis after working as a meeting planner and coordinator, so that may explain this li'l organizing spree I'm suggesting we go on. I'm highly motivated to meet other great twentysomethings though, and hopefully y'all will be too!

My e-mail address is arinne@hotmail.com
