I grad from U and worked for a year, but what should I say if I am away from job for almost a year ?

I am very panic when those HR wants me to explain what I have done for a year.

What do you plan to do for that year?

I was out of work for about 6 months, and I say it was for family reasons (which is partly true). I said I had to move to SC to help my parents take care of theirs. People don't usually question personal stuff like that.
