Well, as of today, I was offered a position in Phoenix, AZ for an Assistant Project Manager/Job Capitan in the same industry I'm currently in. I'm going to even make a little more in salary and save even more money because the cost of living out there is so much cheaper than Newport Beach, CA. I know it seems a little backwards to move from the beach to the desert heat, but I've been in California since I was four and a change of scenery is almost necessary right now.
On my way home from work I literally just said "Holy shit!! I'm going to be moving out of state!!. . . I can't believe I actually followed through on my words!!!" It's scary, but once I told my family and current co-workers, they were all thrilled for me. I gave my current place of employment more than a six month notice, so it's not like it's a shock to them. My boss has been very understanding.
I'm 26 years old and I'm basically going to be starting over once again. In a way it's great, but of course I'm quite scared and nervous. I don't think I've made a bigger decision in my life than this one. I've been at my current job for almost five years, so it's just kind of strange to "start over" at a new company. Wish me luck!
