I've seen this thread before, but it feels very appropriate today for some reason since I am totally incapable of being productive...
I'm supposed to be doing a competitive analysis of all the coupons run in the past two years across all our categories... (I work in marketing for a large consumer products company...)... I'm trying to gather the data today and for some reason I am just NOT able to make myself get it done!!
But what am I doing??? Checking out the message boards and IMing friends... good thing no-one can see my computer...
Aaarrgh!

Working on an article about Alzheimer's...but it hits a little close to home and I'm avoiding it.

Sadly i really don't have much pending right now; so sporadically am cleaning out my attachments, and work files waiting for the next argument over something I'm sure i had no control over.

I don't have a whole lot to do either. There are plenty of things I COULD be doing, but it's all really boring.
I have to be at the post office by 2:30 today and it's snowing HARD here, so I would like to get it overwith, but I have to wait for someone to give me what I'm mailing. I REALLY don't want to go outside. Plus I'm on empty (pray my car even starts!) and forgot to bring my window scraper.

Me too on being unproductive.
I'm suppose to be proofing two issues of Oncology Times, making repeats for the next issues, looking up articles for my paper due next month or finishing up research for 2 NY sales reps. Instead I'm goofing off online and singing along to the radio.

Writing a story about a man heading to trial on child rape charges......the criminal complaint is disgustingly graphic (for good reason, I know) and reading it is making me upset and nauseated. :(
I also need to be organizing meeting minutes so we can post them on our Web site. I hate shit like that! I wish I had an intern to do that kind of stuff for me. But then, I also wish I had a better computer.

I'm just an assistant, so most of my work is what's handed to me throughout the day, but one of my bosses is gone and the other two are busy with their own stuff (at least, if you count chatting on the phone with friends "busy"). So I'm pretty much just trying to look busy. It's boring actually.

You've got me! :p
I'm dreading filling out my expense report for this month. My cell bill (which they pay for) for February is $386!!!!!! :googly: BIG SHIT! This can't ALL be work-related calls, though I'm going to insist that it is. Oopsy-daisy. Geez, no wonder they don't want to pay for a computer for me.

I am looking up bibliographic records for these Slavic books. Mind you, I don't read the Cyrillic alphabet. It's gonna be interesting, lol.

I should be printing out my staff report, editing it, and photocopying all the exhibits for it- to give to my boss.
I should also be sending some info to some other departments.
I should also be writing some letters to applicants telling them that they STILL did not do everything we asked for.
But that's what Mondays are for.

I SHOULD actually BE at work but I didn't want to risk the commute this morning and during afternoon rush hour.
