Hello all my fellow QLCers! I've been waiting until I got my employment offer in writing to let you guys know. It arrived today and so here I am: I finally have a job. I never thought it would take four months after passing the bar and almost a year since graduating from law school to get a job, but here I am ... an actual working attorney.

I will be representing individuals who have been exposed to asbestos. Yes, this makes me a cursed trial lawyer according to right wing politicans and pundits, but I don't care. I'm working on the good side and I'm really looking forward to working with my clients.

Woohoo!!!!

Hey way to go!

I've worked with asbestos myself! That is, I was an inspector hired on behalf of the owner of the buildings to make sure that the remidiation contractors adhered to the removal regulations. Also did site investigations to find the stuff.

Any questions feel free to give me a holler!

Now go kick some ass! They left asbestos in my school when I was little!

Asbestos is not rare, I'm willing to bed there's some where you work now. It was outlawed in the mid-70s meaning any building older than that probably has some in it.

Remember that big cloud left after the WTC collapsed? Sprayed asbestos fireprooffing.....all the way up.

Congratulations! Are you going to be handling ONLY cases having to deal with asbestos exposure or are there going to be other things dealing with indoor air?
