Does anyone have it or have a family member who has it? My mom has had it for years and it basically rules her life. Makes her miserable. She's been telling me for the last couple of years that she think I may have it/get it and that I have the symptoms and should get checked out. So I finally succumbed and looked into it (on the web) and realized I DO have all the symptoms (sorta minus one). I really hope I don't have it after seeing what it's done to my mom...

Anyone have it or have a family member who does?

One of my co-workers has this. It's something that she has gone to pain management for b/c it never goes away. However, she gets doctor prescriber regular massages that help A LOT. Have you looked into it?

All I know about it is what my mom does for it. I keep telling myself I'm going to make a doctor appointment, but I HATE the dr. so I don't want to go.

It is manageable with PT and massage. You should definitely talk to your doctor about it. If you have it, there is no reason not to start right away. I know my co-worker had to switch her medical insurance (we get a bunch of options) to get everything covered, but it was worth it in the end.

Hi hon,
I also have fibromyalgia. I was DX's 2 or 3 years ago. It has been hard to be honest with you because a lot does change, but it can be managed with the right Dr's. I take meds for mine and have been to therapy a time or two. :googly:
I encourage you to go to the Dr. now.Find out & start getting treated, but a word of caution, I don't know where you live at, DO NOT let them blame everything on fibromyalgia. The doctors here tend to blame things on the fibromyalgia, that should be treated differently. Be aware of your body and how it acts and reacts to differents situations.

Good Luck!! I hope that this isn't what you have sweetie.
