dumb interview questions

so i had to take a personality assessment for this job, and they asked me some of the weirdest things! here are two that i remember...just how do you answer them??!

1) are you superstitious?
(what does this mean about your personality?)

2) true or false - i have done drugs and now i know why they are wrong.
(what if you've never even tried them before? either way, you have to answer as if you have used drugs before...hmmm)

they should do a kaplan for personality tests, 'cause i am clueless to taking them.

I took one of these once and hated the thing half way through- too many times you could ask a question of the question and overthink the 'test'. I read somewhere you are supposed to answer the questions as you would in your 'work' personality.

ha ha what a question.

'false... i have done drugs before and i now can come up with no good reason why they are wrong.'

Depends on the kind of drug I am using. I feel differently about different drugs.

The second question is ambiguous--could mean, "I've never done drugs" or "I've done drugs and I don't know/accept that they are wrong." I would point this out to the interviewer.

Pssst...that's part of the test. Based on your other answers, I can tell you how most people would answer that question. So if you answered a certain question one way, they know what your answer to this question is.

It kind of like asking you the questions "Is Socrates a man?" and "Is man mortal?". From your answers, they can figure out the conclusion.

they should just ask what they really want to know... if they want to know if i'm a druggie, just ask "are you a druggie?" no tricky stuff necessary.

the thing is that it's all multiple choice, so you can't really explain your answer to the interviewer.

This wasn't a perosnality test, but I once had a phone interview where the woman who was interviewing me was clearly reading questions off a sheet of paper. She asked me if I've had experience with work being delegated to me - I said yes, meanwhile thinking "duh, of course I have a boss, unless you're self-employed someone usually delegates work to you". She proceeded to ask me if I've had experience on the phone. I wanted to say "well, we're on the phone RIGHT NOW" but of course I didn't say that. I know she meant work-related phone calls, but I think she actually asked "have you had experience using a phone?" as if I wouldn't be able to dial the numbers.
